Self Care Morning Routine

There’s something sacred about those first few quiet moments of the morning—before the texts roll in, before the day picks up speed. It’s become a ritual for me, not just to wake up, but to *care* for myself. And when every step involves clean, non-toxic products I trust, it feels even better—like I’m supporting my body, skin, and spirit from the inside out.

I’m also trying to become more of a morning person, and adding self care to my morning routine makes this 10x easier.

If you’ve been looking to craft your own self-care morning, here’s a peek into mine—every product I use is intentionally chosen for its clean ingredients, gentle formulas, and feel-good vibes.

✨ Step 1: Wake Up + Oral Care (Without the Toxins)

Before I even hit the kitchen, I start with oral care—because your mouth is *literally* the gateway to your health.

Clean Retainer Cleaner: If you wear a retainer or aligners like me, you *know* how important it is to keep them fresh—without chlorine or harsh chemicals.

RiseWell Toothpaste: This remineralizing toothpaste is fluoride-free and packed with hydroxyapatite (which actually supports enamel health). It's minty, clean, and gives me dentist-clean teeth without compromise.

Copper Tongue Scraper: This is non-negotiable for me. Scraping first thing removes toxins and bacteria that have built up overnight.

💧 Step 2: Skincare That Loves You Back

This is where I slow down, breathe deeply, and let each product feel like an act of self-love. I’ve curated a full routine using Mad Hippie, one of my favorite affordable clean beauty brands.

1. Vitamin C Toning Mist: This wakes up my skin (and me), hydrates, and gives that first layer of antioxidants.

2. Vitamin C Serum: A powerhouse step to brighten and protect my skin from daily stressors.

3. Antioxidant Facial Oil: I press this in gently—think of it like sealing in all that goodness while nourishing your skin barrier.

4. Face Cream: Light, clean, and hydrating without clogging pores.

5. Pure Sol Charcoal Under Eye Patches: I love popping these on while I sip my coffee. They feel cool, de-puffing, and help me fake a full night’s sleep.

(Before leaving the house/20+ minutes after under eye patches are on)

6. Daily Protective Serum (SPF): I wait until the eye patches come off before applying this final layer. It’s lightweight and gives me peace of mind knowing I’m protected all throughout the day, it goes on like skincare and protects like SPF.

🧘‍♀️ Step 3: Legs Up the Wall + Red Light Therapy

While my skin soaks in all the goodness, I lay down, toss my legs up the wall, and turn on my red light therapy panel (discount code LIVHOLISTIC) . It’s amazing for circulation, inflammation, and just resetting my nervous system before the chaos of the day begins.

This is my “pause” moment. Sometimes I’ll do a short prayer, meditation, or just focus on deep breathing. Even 10 minutes here makes a huge difference in my energy and focus.

☕️ Step 4: Clean Sips to Start the Day

Once I’ve rolled out my mat, it’s time for one of my favorite parts—coffee. (P.S. I almost always drink water and have a little bit of food before caffeine).

I’ve swapped out my usual cup for something cleaner and gentler:

Everyday Dose Coffee with Collagen Creamer: It’s low-acid, packed with functional mushrooms and collagen, and gives me clean, sustained energy without the jitters. It’s my go-to brain boost, and it tastes *so* good.

My morning self-care routine isn’t about perfection—it’s about intention. Each of these non-toxic products helps me feel more grounded, clear, and ready to show up fully. And the best part? I’m doing it all without exposing myself to endocrine disruptors, artificial fragrances, or harsh chemicals.

If you’re thinking about creating your own nontoxic morning ritual, start small. Swap one product at a time and build from there. Trust me—your body (and your future self) will thank you.
